Wellness Routines
Dear Aspen reader,
I don’t know about you but as more and more research emerges on food and fitness it can be quite overwhelming. Often times I am confused over the best choices to make and find myself twirling in circles as I try to keep everything in balance. Sometimes it appears easier to avoid a specific health and wellness regimen because the options seem endless.
Take a minute to ask yourself, "What keeps me from establishing a set wellness routine and really taking action?"
A. Lack the time.
If time is your struggle, let me remind you of your value. You hold value in your job, family, friendships and community. Do you value yourself enough to make your health a priority?
B. Lack the knowledge.
Maybe you've heard the statement, "Without knowledge the people perish"? Don't let your physical health wither because you don't feel that you are educated enough to make a decision. Read articles, find books, or listen to a podcast that will get you pointed in the right direction.
C. Lack the motivation.
Motivation and tenacity are crucial to long-term success. Making the time and having the "how-to" knowledge will get you started but to keep going strong, motivation is important. As unique individuals, motivation will look differently to each of us. What are some motivators in your life that go beyond food or your appearance?
I want to encourage you to start making small changes, even if you don't know the complete plan. Use the resources available to you and find the motivation you need to find a healthier you.
In health,
Alecia
