Series: Rise & Shine | Uniquely you
Rise & Shine confession: I will believe that the things that make me different are the things that make me, me.
Dear Aspen reader,
You know how each part of the human body has its own specific function? And how each unit, no matter how big or small, is a part of a larger system that works towards sustaining the health of your body? That’s exactly how it is with regards to your individual makeup and uniqueness. Interesting thought, isn’t it?
Have you ever stopped to think that you have a gift inside of you that is unique and unlike anything that anyone can bring to the table? Have you ever considered the value that is your life and your individuality? Do you ever wonder how your giftings might be used for the greater good?
Dr. Suess said it best “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
Maybe you have gone through life thinking that you are “not enough”, “abnormal”, “atypical” or whatever other label that society (or your own thoughts) have tried to place on you. I want to invite you today to rise up, shake it off and come to the knowledge that you are a unique being who is created to do great things! You might share interests and talents with another individual, but trust me - there is something special that only you can do.
This week, I urge you:
Take time to discover what makes you unique.
Consider how your uniqueness might benefit others in a special way.
Embrace what you find, as positive or negative as you might think it is.
Even if you feel that your part is small, it still is a puzzle piece to the whole picture that we call life. Enjoy the journey as you learn to embrace YOU this week.
In health,
Alecia
