The Life You Want.

Dear Aspen reader,

How much power and control do you believe that you have over your life? Do you feel that you are a victim of your circumstances? Or maybe that you play no role and are just going through the motions like a gerbil on a wheel?

I hope that this note finds you at a place where you feel some control over circumstances. I hope that you have a slight understanding that a positive mindset can do wonders for your emotional and mental well-being and that speaking positive words over your life can actually bring wholeness in the midst of unpleasantries. Do you know that? Do you believe that?

Often times, we can be pressed by the busyness of life or feel that we are subject to the boss/corporation/job. Maybe you’re affected deeply by the societal discontent that is going on around you right now or bodily distress or the uncertainty of a career change.

Yes, it’s true. Circumstances affect us. The key is to realize that even when all is shaking around you - you have the ability to remain strong.

A few tips:

  • Know your place in your circumstances. Is there something you can do to make a positive change?

  • Do you have a victim or victor mentality? Identifying which and working to become more victorious can do wonders for your emotional and mental health.

  • Recognize the season. Is it a time to withstand the fires around you or to ebb and flow with the waves?

  • Look for the good. Even in the midst of the stressors you face - what are three positive pieces that you can glean? Write them down and share with a friend.

It is my hope that your life becomes more positive and pleasing, starting today. Know that you have what you need to succeed!

In health,

Alecia
